  • Abstract
    The MODerate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Albedo product (MCD43C3) provides data describing both directional hemispherical reflectance (black-sky albedo) and bihemispherical reflectance (white-sky albedo). The MCD43C3 product contains 16 days of data provided in a level-3 data set projected to a 0.05° (5,600 meters) latitude/longitude Climate Modeling Grid (CMG). Both Terra and Aqua data are used to generate this product, providing the highest probability for quality input data and designating it as an "MCD," meaning "Combined," product. Version-5 MODIS BRDF and Albedo products have attained Validation Stage 3.
