MERRA-2 tavg1_2d_int_Nx: 2d,1-Hourly,Time-Averaged,Single-Level,Assimilation,Vertically Integrated Diagnostics 0.625 x 0.5 degree V5.12.4 (M2T1NXINT) at GES DISC

M2T1NXINT (or tavg1_2d_int_Nx) is an hourly time-averaged 2-dimensional data collection in Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications version 2 (MERRA-2). This collection consists of vertically Integrated diagnostics of water and energy, such as autoconversion loss of cloud water, convective source of cloud ice (water), eastward (nothward) flux of atmospheric ice (liquid, vapor), total potential energy tendency, vertically integrated potential energy tendency, and vertically integrated kinetic energy tendency. The data field is time-stamped with the central time of an hour starting from 00:30 UTC, e.g.: 00:30, 01:30, … , 23:30 UTC. MERRA-2 is the latest version of global atmospheric reanalysis for the satellite era produced by NASA Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) using the Goddard Earth Observing System Model (GEOS) version 5.12.4. The dataset covers the period of 1980-present with the latency of ~3 weeks after the end of a month. Note that a reprocessed data filename is different from the original file.
