Collaborative Research: IPY: POLENET-Antarctica: Investigating Links between Geodynamics and Ice Sheets. POLENET is a network of GPS and seismic stations in West Antarctica to determine how the mass of the West Antarctic ice sheet (WAIS) changes with time. The information is ultimately used to predict sea level rise accompanying global warming and interpret climate change records. This project includes personnel and funding from several collaborative awards: PLR Division Award Abstract #0632322, Award Abstract #0632330, Award Abstract #0632339 and Award Abstract #0632136 Investigator's include: Terry Wilson, Ohio State University Mike Bevis, Ohio State University Ian Dalziel, University of Texas at Austin Paul Winberry, Central Washington University Bob Smalley, University of Memphis Larry Hothem, U.S. Geological Survey Rick Aster, Colorado State University Doug Wiens, Washington University in St. Louis Andy Nyblade, Pennsylvania State University Audrey Huerta, Pennsylvania State University Sridhar Anandakrishnan, Pennsylvania State University
