It also links allnine of the national Centers together via computer andcommunications-related services.The Space Environment Center provides space weather alerts andwarnings for disturbances that can affect people and equipmentworking in space and on earth.The Storm Prediction Center provides tornado and severe weatherwatches for the contiguous United States along with a suite ofhazardous weather forecasts, mesoscale guidance products and acontinuous watch on mesoscale atmospheric processes.The Tropical Prediction Center provides official NWS forecastsof the movement and strength of tropical weather systems andissues the appropriate watches and warnings for the US andsurrounding areas.
