    <skos:definition xml:lang="en">The Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere Coupled Ocean Atmosphere ResponseExperiment (TOGA COARE) was a large international field experimentconducted in 1992-1993 as an addendum to the TOGA Implementation Planto study the atmospheric and oceanic processes over the region of thewestern Pacific known as the &apos;warm pool&apos;. This is the region of warmocean and atmospheric clouds and precipitation that is linked to theEl Nino climate variation.TOGA COARE data are located at NOAA/National Climatic DataCenter (NCDC) and elsewhere.
