<skos:definition xml:lang="en">During the summer of 1975 AIDJEX maintained four manned camps onice floes in the Arctic Ocean. Instrumentation located at thosecamps, or deployed on floating data buoys, recorded surface andgeostrophic winds, ocean current velocity at 2 and 30 meterdepths, and camp (ice floe) position. Data are archived as dailyaverage values for each camp, as well as ice velocity andsmoothed positions. Surface pressure and geostrophic wind dataare also available at 6-hourly intervals. Data acquired duringthe AIDJEX main experiment have been validated, for the mostpart, by the principal investigators and analysts. Data areavailable on diskette or via ftp.For more information, link to 'http://nsidc.org/data/nsidc-0013.html'</skos:definition>
