These include the CSU campuses at San Jose, SanFrancisco, Hayward, Stanislaus, Sacramento, Fresno, and MontereyBay.Since its establishment in 1966, MLML has grown an internationalreputation for excellence in marine research, education and isthe second oldest marine lab on Monterey Bay. The MLML missionis to: 'Provision the Pioneers of the Future.' We do thisthrough a hands-on, field-oriented approach to our curriculum, which places our graduate students at the frontiers of marinescience where discoveries are being made. All of our facultiesare actively involved in state-of-the-art research in a widevariety of disciplines. Our marine operations department maintains research vessels froma fleet of Boston Whalers, to the 135-foot Research Vessel PointSur, owned by the National Science Foundation. In addition, MLMLhas one of the largest Research Diving programs in thenation. These tools help to deliver our faculty and students tothe frontiers where our research is performed. The MLML Libraryprovides ready access to published resources, in both hardcopyand electronic format. Through our own holdings and reciprocitywith marine labs worldwide, MLML has access to published worksin virtually all areas of marine science.Website: 'http://color.mlml.calstate.edu/'[Summary provided by MLML.]</skos:definition>
